The event will be centered around a guided meditation that seeks to uncover repressed parts of the shadow. Fawning is a trauma response in which individuals neglect their needs and boundaries in a people-pleasing tendency, to avoid conflict and to sustain an illusion of safety. Together we will explore the self-abandonment that fawning perpetuates, as well as the roots of this behaviour.
Shadow work is about awakening our repressed parts into awareness, exploring how they manifest and the ways in which they limit our wholeness. This meditation will allow space to explore, nurture, and bring these shadow parts into consciousness on a path to self-actualization. Imagery from nature, mythology and music will be used to deepen the experience and alchemize healing.
